A lot us share the same drivers- a love for beautifully crafted things, for travel and experiences, of surrounding ourselves with and collecting things that bring us joy.
Finding old vintage silver jewellery has been a love and passion since my design school days. Over the years, I've jumped at every available opportunity to search for, select and bring home some very exciting jewellery - spanning time, geography and culture.
My collection has now overgrown my jewellery cases. For me to continue to enjoy this process of discovery - of finding unique pieces and to learn off them, I need to make room.
Breaks my heart (sniff!).....but I know its time to share from my collection with all of you. These are mostly vintage finds and there is only one piece of each. They span categories that have been my focus since my move to the US four years ago - Native American (Southwestern), Modernist and Mexican and a whole lot of eclectic World Jewellery (Delft porcelain from Holland, Niello work from Siam/Thailand, filigree from Turkey and Spain etc.)
My (ie. Lai) aesthetics prevail - all jewellery is extremely wearable with focus on regional/ indigenous craft skills and a somewhat cultural curation. All the pieces I bought are in sterling silver (no surprises there) and they are now ready to go on their next adventure.
I’ve shared as much as I know about the pieces in the listing. These are one off pieces so please read the descriptions carefully. There will be no exchange/refund. I know these will give you as much joy as they have given me. And that you’ll give them as much love as I have.
